Boots are offering advantage card points in return for your old recycled mobile phones and 100 points for spent inkjet cartridges. Up to 5000 points are on offer (worth a grand total of £50 for the phones and £1 for the catridges) if you send in your old model. The process is quite easy, register online, send them in the freepost envelope then pick up your points at kiosks in store.
This service is worthwhile if you’ve got an old phone stashed in a cupboard and you want to make some cash from it. I checked how much I’d get for the old Nokia N70 I have left to gather dust and found that to be worth 2,250 points (£22.50). However, if your phone doens’t work the points reward is significantly reduced.
Check out Boots Recycle here to see what your old phones could net you.
