Plastic Logic are creating a range of products that enable ‘information access, organization and consumption.’ The form factor of this e-reader is certainly what captured my attention. At 8.5×11″ and thinner than a pad of paper, it’s incredibly slim and light and they claim it is better than e-readers currently on the market with E-ink technology for easier reading plus low power consumption and long battery life.
Business users should note all that along with its support for document formats including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe PDFs plus it can be used for reading newspapers, periodicals and books whilst storing thousands of docs. It can be used wired or wirelessly and Plastic Logic expect to pilot the products in the latter half of 2009 with sales from 2010.
