Robot makers WowWee have introduced two new robots to their award-winning line which already includes the uber cute panda. The Joebot™ is a walking, taking interactive bot with voice command control that is able to respond to certain phrases. He can even beatbox to a beat you tap out whilst dancing. Infrared sensors ensures he can avoid obstacles while taking a stroll. Program him to different modes including patrol, walking, talk and battle, the latter of which sees him blasting objects with his LED hands.
The Roborover™ is the tread based robot with posable arms, head and waist. Operated via remote control, there is driving-based games, infrared obstacle and tilt sensors. Like the JoeBot, there is also some spoken content. I’ve no doubt that these will be huge hits, especially amongst the kids if the parents can be persuaded to let go.
